Top Things to Do and See in Rhode Island
Rhode Island is a little state, but don't let the size fool you, because RI more than makes up for its size with things to do. Below are some of our favorties. - Benefit Street, Providence - Sometimes called a “mile of history” as it is the site of 200 well preserved 18th and 19th century
buildings. The Colonial homes are considered the United State’s most impressive collection.
- Block Island - Full of history and home to the Southeast Lighthouse, be sure to visit 230 acre Rodman’s Hollow.
- Roger Williams Park Zoo - America’s 3rd oldest zoo, there animals from Madagascar, Africa, Asia, Australia and North America; nearby is the Roger William’s Botanical Center which boast the Northeast’s largest indoor garden.
- Commicut Point Park in Warrick - This 14 acre park and beach area sure to delight children of all ages.
- East Bay Bike Path- From biking to inline skating, the 14.5 mile paved path provides views of waterfront views, marshes and ponds as well as gives entry to several state parks.
- Watch Hill, Westerly - Unique stores and eateries are combined with great ocean vistas. Its most interesting attraction is the Flying Horse Carousel whose 20 horses are not attached to the floor but are suspended from a center frame from which they swing (fly) on when in motion.

McCoy Stadium, Blackstone Valley - Cheer for the home team at this impressive baseball diamond that is home to the Boston Red Sox triple A team, the Pawtucket Red Sox.
- Visit some of the family friendly farms in the Newport area. You can pet an alpaca, pick a peck of berries, peruse and purchase organic produce, ponder the bouquet of wine from the local vineyards or pamper yourself with a quiet weekend in one of the local bed and breakfast or inns.

- Spend a day exploring Providence’s Federal Hill. You will find more than 40 Italian restaurants, antique stores, beautiful pottery and cookware, historic architecture and much, much more.
